I can't seem to find the ringer test button on the new site. I need to be able to adjust the volume in order to play. I didn't hear the first question this morning, and it seems as though only 19 people answered, even though it was a fairly easy question (95% correct).

I think the 12 Q day is about right. There has to be some reward for a little stick-to-itiveness. I've won the Shotgun Betty game twice and both times it was just starting to get serious and the game was over: it takes 6 or 8 questions before you know whether you're really in it and who your competition is.

As far as different Q's being worth more, we've talked about that here and we're still discussing it. It might come into play. My personal hope is that it is not, because it alters the game big time. I can explain it sometime next week.

We've also talked about the mini games. We've secretly called them the Power Hour. That is also up for discussion. I really hope we get a chance to do it because I would love to participate in it. It probably would be for fun since Question Everything is the bread and butter of Ringorang at the moment.

I have no real preference on the number-of-questions issue, except to wonder whether each Q would be worth more if there were less of them? And... hey, you know, come to think of it, the RoR day ending sooner might let some enthusiastic but maybe work-weary or busy peeps feel 'off the hook' in the later afternoon/evening? Tough call, because maybe that's when a lot of people who's work day ends earlier can finally play...

I have a whole other deal. A goodly number of the peeps up here in Seattle that I tell about Ringorang have asked, voluntarily and independently of one another (cosmically enough) whether you guys do little mini-games that are quickly played. It seems they want something like little side-games with a quick succession of questions. I've asked, so, would you expect a prize or something? And it's either been, 'nah, it'd just be fun' or 'Maybe like a song/iTune or option to rack up wins toward a t-shirt, something like that.' I've asked when they'd like to see these little games pop up and how many questions in succession. The first part varies widely, the second is a universal "five".

Just thought I'd share those PNW thoughts, for whatever they might be worth...

As far as I know, Lucas never truly had anything planned for a 3rd trilogy (except maybe a vague idea). The Timothy Zahn novels delve into some of that territory, too. Great read.

I notice that the List of winners column hasn't been updated in a few weeks. And I'm not just saying that because I was a winner in Week 35. :-) Also, now that the quiz has switched to a daily theme format, it would be cool to list what the theme was for each winner. For example, I was the Apple winner, danhere was the Spongebob winner.
